When you cannot fly, you reminise of days when the weather was better. This shot is from the 80's when I was out photographing at Chignik Lake. A beautiful fall day, crisp air, and a breath taking scene as a friend pilots his Tri-Pacer, wheels skimming the water between acnhored up seiners.
Flew 659HC up over Knik Galcier then into Talkeetna. After a great lunch at the Roadhouse flew up into the Kahiltna Glacier with great views of Denali and Foraker. Found a new strip near the Nugget Bench. I was looking for the strip that Mort Mason wrote about in "Flying the Alaska Wild"
